Track & Field shines at Nike Outdoor Nationals

Exeter track and field wrapped up another memorable season on one of the sport's grandest stages as six Big Red athletes traveled to Hayward Field at the University of Oregon to compete against the nation's top high school athletes at Nike Outdoor Nationals.

Leading the way in the field events, Caden Green earned a top-10 national finish in the U20 discus, placing ninth overall with a throw of 183 feet, 5 inches. The performance capped a remarkable season for Green, who rewrote both the Exeter and New England prep school record books in the discus.

On the track, Jordan Hayden competed in two championship sprint events. Hayden finished 22nd overall in the Championship 100 meters, crossing the line in 10.69 seconds, before adding a 40th-place finish in the Championship 200 meters with a time of 21.85.

In the distance events, Bo Howland-Vlahakis represented Big Red in the Championship 2-Mile, placing 30th overall in 9:06.61, while Ava Bullock concluded her outstanding season with an 18th-place finish in the Emerging Elite 5,000 meters, clocking 18:09.48.

Alex Harwich also earned the opportunity to compete on the national stage, finishing 57th overall in the Emerging Elite 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.98.
