Boys basketball nets win in Rafferty's debut

Exeter tipped off its season in emphatic fashion on Wednesday night, earning a 65–52 win over Middlesex in Love Gym and delivering head coach Harry Rafferty a victory in his Big Red debut.

Christian Chartier powered the offense with 23 points, including 16 in the opening half. Cole McClure added 15 points, while Carson Gretz chipped in 8 points and Alex Hamblet contributed 7 to round out a balanced opening-night effort.

Exeter established its tempo early, using active defense and crisp ball movement to build momentum. Middlesex battled to stay within reach, but Big Red countered with timely buckets, going on a 14-5 run to close out the first half with a 38-23 advantage.

Big Red returns to action on Saturday, December 6 when they travel to the Dana Barros Center and battle Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols at 12:15pm as part of the annual Prep Classic Tournament!
