It was a memorable afternoon in Love Gym as Big Red head coach
Jay Tilton notched the 200th victory of his head coaching career as Exeter used a strong second half to top Choate, 66-53. Tilton, who has been at the helm of the program since the 2009-10 season after spending nine seasons as an assistant with the program, has amassed a record of 200-92 with five NEPSAC Class A titles and 14 straight trips to the Class A Tournament.
With the victory on Saturday, Exeter improved to 10-0 on the season.
Luke Soden led all scorers with 24 points.
Tyler Bike finished with 15 points and
Ryder Frost added 11 points for the hosts.
The boys JV squad also earned a hard-fought victory over Choate, using a big second half to top the Wild Boars 73-64 in a back-and-forth affair.
The boys varsity squad will return to their home floor on Wednesday when they play host to Proctor at 5:00p. The JV team will head to Andover for a tilt with the Blue at 3:15pm.
