Head Coach Jay Tilton has helped build Exeter boys basketball to be one of the top prep programs in the region, winning multiple NEPSAC Class A titles in the past decade, most recently in the 2023-24 season. Tilton has been at the helm of the program since the 2009-10 season and has since led Big Red to unparalleled success. Exeter is the only Class A program to advance into the playoffs in each of the last thirteen seasons while accumulating the top winning percentage in the division throughout his stretch as coach. Prior to his coaching at Exeter, Tilton served as an Ivy League Assistant at Dartmouth College. In addition to wins and championships, Tilton has helped springboard dozens of student-athletes to Division I, II, and III schools, including programs in the Big Ten, Ivy League, ACC, Patriot League, A-10, UAA, NESCAC, and other premier conferences around the country.
