Jaylen Bennett '25 enjoyed another opportunity on the world stage when he represented St. Kitts & Nevis at the World Athletics U20 Championships held in Lima, Peru.
Jaylen, who represented St. Kitts & Nevis previously at the 2023 Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA) Games and at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games, competed in the 400-meter after securing his spot with a qualifying run at the United Age Group Track Coaches Association (UAGTCA) Ron Jackson Youth Invitational this past July. Bennett turned in a personal-best time of 47.43 and qualified for one of the high levels of youth athletics at the World Championships.
At the World Championships on Wednesday, August 28th, Bennett finshed fourth overall in his heat with a time of 47.88 in a field against athletes from all over the globe.
