Hot bats lift softball past Pingree

Exeter softball opened its home schedule with an impressive all-around performance. Five different players recorded multiple hits for Big Red, setting the tone for a relentless offensive approach from start to finish as Big Red topped Pingree, 25-1.

Paige Sweet delivered a standout performance, going 2-for-4 with a grand slam and a double, driving in seven runs while scoring four times and drawing three walks.
Regan Coco was equally effective at the plate, finishing 2-for-3 with a double, four RBI, and a run scored. Ella Shea, Julia Cootey, and Paris Tran each added two hits, contributing to a balanced attack that saw production from up and down the lineup.

Tran was terrific in the circle, limiting Pingree to just five hits and one unearned run while striking out three in the complete game effort.

Big Red returns to action on Friday with a 5:30 p.m. road matchup against Buckingham, Browne, and Nichols.
