Exeter boys squash delivered a dominant performance from top to bottom on Wednesday, sweeping Middlesex, 7–0, in decisive fashion. Big Red controlled every match on the ladder, with all seven players earning straight-game victories to complete the shutout.
At the top of the order,
Max Liu set the tone with a commanding 3–0 win at No. 1, allowing just eight total points in an 11–4, 11–3, 11–1 decision.
Ian Lanning followed with an equally sharp performance at No. 2, cruising to an 11–3, 11–2, 11–3 victory.
Evan Chen continued the momentum at No. 3, winning 11–1, 11–3, 11–3 to keep Exeter firmly in control.
Matias Yau was in command at No. 4, surrendering only five points across three games (11–3, 11–1, 11–4), while Maverick Hilal turned in an 11–1, 11–0, 11–3 win at No. 5.
Andrew Chen secured another straight-game victory at No. 6 with an 11–5, 11–3, 11–6 result, and
Tony Zhu capped the sweep in emphatic fashion at No. 7 in an 11–1, 11–1, 11–4 performance.
With the comprehensive win, Big Red carries strong momentum into its next challenge, as Exeter travels to Philadelphia for the U.S. High School Squash Nationals.
