Exeter football turned in a dominant performance on both sides of the ball Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 45-14 road victory over Salisbury School.
Big Red's offense was firing on all cylinders, piling up a season-high 45 points behind a commanding performance from the offensive line.
Malik Drouin,
Lex Chatham,
Connor O'Brien,
Aaron Naudain, and
Brayden Murch controlled the line of scrimmage throughout the afternoon, consistently creating running lanes and allowing Exeter to move the ball up and down the field.
Fogo Filani was a major beneficiary of the strong play up front, rushing for more than 100 yards to help power the offensive attack.
Luke Lang also reached a career milestone, finding the end zone for his first varsity touchdown.
On the defensive side, Exeter was equally impressive, keeping Salisbury off the scoreboard through the first three quarters. Linebackers
Davis Deluties and
Steeven Many anchored the effort, making their presence felt from sideline to sideline and disrupting plays in the backfield.
Gianluca Cecere delivered a perfect afternoon in the kicking game, connecting on all six extra-point attempts and converting his lone field goal opportunity.
Exeter returns home next Saturday for a Family Weekend showdown against Deerfield Academy. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
