Exciting news from the gridiron as Ty Pezza '22 has signed a three-year undrafted free agent deal with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League.
Pezza made his mark at Exeter before emerging as one of the Ivy League's top playmakers during his four-year career at Brown University.
"Ty Pezza was an elite competitor and worker during his time at Exeter," said head coach
Panos Voulgaris. "An exceptional student, two-way starter in football, and standout runner on the track, Ty set a high standard at the Academy. It has been a thrill to watch him thrive in the Ivy League while at Brown and I'm looking forward to follow his NFL path."
An All-NEPSAC selection on the football field for Big Red, he also excelled in track and field, earning a New England Championship in the triple jump at the Division I Championships while contributing as a sprinter.
At Brown University, Pezza developed into one of the Ivy League's top receivers. During his senior season, he led the Bears with 46 catches for 599 yards and seven touchdowns, appearing in all ten games and ranking fifth in the league with 59.9 receiving yards per game.
His time at Brown was marked by both athletic and academic success. Pezza earned Second Team All-Ivy League honors, Academic All-Ivy League recognition, and was named to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society. He also collected CSC Academic All-District and FCS ADA Academic All-Star honors.
At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Pezza brings size, athleticism, and a strong work ethic to the next level. Congratulations, Ty!
