Exeter cross country turned in a strong showing at the annual Manchester Invitational on Saturday at Derryfield Park. In a field of 236 runners,
Bo Howland-Vlahakis was dominant in the boys' varsity race, winning by an impressive 50-second margin to claim the top spot with a time of 15:44. The boys' squad placed 11th overall in a deep and talented field.
On the girls' side,
Harper Peters and
Ava Bullock led the way, helping Big Red secure a fourth-place team finish. Peters placed ninth in 19:41, with Bullock close behind in 11th at 19:48.
Rounding out Exeter's top seven were
Norah Pratt (21:06),
Alice Rourke (21:54),
Marley McMahon (22:17),
Sophia Butler (22:27), and
Lucia Rosen (23:05).
For the boys,
Owen Welch (17:48),
Truman Yee (18:13),
Ethan Benenson (18:35),
Artur Novaes Ferreira (18:58),
Owen Cosgrove (19:11), and
Will Miller (21:54) all delivered strong performances on a picture-perfect day in Manchester.
