Exeter's Jannah Maguire has been named the 2025 New Hampshire Gatorade Player of the Year for Outdoor Track and Field.

The Gatorade Player of the Year award is one of the top honors in high school sports, celebrating the nation's best high school athletes for their success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. The announcement of Maguire's award comes days after Gatorade announced Jaylen Bennett as the award winner for the state in boys outdoor track and field.

Maguire is the first representative of Exeter girls track and field to be honored in the 37-year history of the award and joins Bennett, Byron Grevious '24 (three-time winner), Jeremiah Swett '21, and Rob Hulick '00 as fellow Big Red recipients.
Maguire capped her impressive Exeter career with an exclamation point at Nike Outdoor Nationals in June. Maguire raced to a pair of All-American performances, first, with the 4x400 mixed relay team where she put forth an incredible anchor leg performance to lift Big Red to a second place finish with a school-record time of 3:30.16. She would follow that performance with another school-record in the 400m hurdles when she crossed at 59.34, the 13th fastest time in the U.S. this year, to capture a bronze medal and her second All-American honor of the championships.

Maguire was also named Meet MVP and a three-time champion at the New England Division I championships this past May as she won the 100m hurdles (14.32), 300m hurdles (42.59), and was a part of the winning 4x400m relay team (3:52.28). Maguire also captured second place in the 4x100m relay (48.31).

The senior, who will enroll and run at Brown University, has ten individual or relay records for the program in addition to three New England records (100m hurdles, 300m hurdles, 4x400m relay) in what was a truly incredible career. She also served as team captain and was named Team MVP for the spring season.
