Strong pitching perfomances lifts baseball over New Hampton

The Exeter pitching staff combined to strike out 13 Huskies as Big Red earned a 9-3 victory over New Hampton on Wednesday afternoon on Amos Alonzo Stagg '85 Diamond.

Max Cerrato got the start on the day and struck out five over three innings of work. Cerrato was relieved by Josh Dun who added a trio of strikeouts over two innings of hitless work while Finn Mussulman closed out the game with two scoreless frames, retiring five by way of the strikeout.

The Big Red offense got to work early and often as they pushed across runs in each of the first four innings to stake an 8-3 lead. Dana Mussulman finished 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI, and three suns scored form atop the Exeter lineup. Sean Noone and Josh Schildcrout each collected a hit and added a run scored while Thad McConnell and Amari Lewis each knocked a double and came around to score on the day.

Up next for Big Red is a matchup with Worcester Academy.
