Exeter boys basketball defended its home floor on Wednesday night, earning a 62–55 win over Milton Academy in Love Gym in a hard-fought NEPSAC matchup.
Big Red set the tone early, playing with energy on both ends and building momentum behind a balanced scoring attack.
Cole McClure led the way for the hosts with a game-high 16 points, ten of which came in the second half.
Alex Hamblet finished with 11 while
Shawn O'Neil added ten.
Christian Chartier tallied nine and
Jake Attaway had eight off the bench.
Exeter will return to the court this weekend at the Class A Showcase. Big Red will square off with Trinity-Pawling on Friday at 10:00a before taking on Avon Old Farms on Saturday at 12:00p. Both games will be played on the campus of Avon Old Farms.
