Exeter wrestling traveled to Deerfield for a quad meet with Thayer and Beaver Country Day on Saturday afternoon. Big Red returned victorious in all three meets, defeating Thayer (43–18), Beaver Country Day (60–6), and hosts Deerfield (54–24). Co-captain
Zain Reza had the undisputed match of the day, using up nearly all of his allotted blood time en route to a tense 4–2 victory over a quality Thayer opponent. Newcomer
Logan Horn recorded his first two wins in an Exeter singlet, while
Luca Somma and
Logan Beckerle both lit up the scoreboard to notch tech falls (16–1 and 20–4, respectively) against Thayer.
Big Red will return to the mat on Wednesday when they battle Governor's Academy and St. Paul's in Concord, N.H.
