Big Red's women’s youth 4+ boat of Jane Park ’24, Eden Fisher ’24, Athena Sperantsas ’24, Ava Cathey ’25, and Sophie Turner ’25 (pictured) earned a third place medal at last year's Head of the Charles Regatta.
Exeter crew is preparing for another exciting showing at the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta, one of the largest and most celebrated rowing events in the world. The regatta, first held in 1965, takes place annually on the Charles River in Boston and attracts thousands of elite rowers from around the world.
Last fall, Exeter made quite the splash at the event as the women's youth 4+ boat of
Jane Park '24, Eden Fisher '24, Athena Sperantsas '24,
Ava Cathey '25, and Sophie Turner '25 earned a third place medal with a time of 19:31.934 in a field of 90 boats in the section.
This year, Exeter's girls will field both a 4+ and an 8+ crew, while the boys will compete with an 8+ crew. The women's youth 8+ section (Event #50) will start the meandering course at 9:02am while Exeter is expected to start around 9:10am. The girls 8+ crew will be bow #53 and features
