Big Red Crew medals at Head of the Charles Regatta

It was another memorable day for Exeter crew as Big Red took on the waters of the Charles River at the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts, on Sunday. The event — the largest regatta in the world — drew more than 12,000 athletes from across the globe.

Exeter's women's youth 4+ of Georgia Menge, Iris Fisher, Eleanor Unger, Charlotte Dassori, and Chloe Bosma turned in a spectacular performance, earning a fifth-place medal with a time of 18:28.887. This marks the fifth straight year Exeter has finished in the top-5 of the women's youth 4+ race. Competing in a stacked field of 87 entries, the Big Red crew was the top high school finisher on one of rowing's biggest stages.

On the boys' side, the men's youth 8+ boat of Osbert Chang, Peter Roper, Bill O'Connor, Kevin Thant, Ben Lewis, Matthew Minor, Maxim Froeschl, Edward Garschina, and Patrick Boyle handled the winding 5,000-meter course with tremendously, placing 10th overall among 87 crews in 14:48.994.

Exeter's girls' 8+ lineup of Elsa Janicki, Zoe Miller, Maya Hinrichsen, Kaitlynn Farkas, Julia Anderson, Isabella Peters, Isla Wiegand-Hammond, Lily Rampe, and Isabella Tyson Montgomery also delivered a strong showing, finishing 64th overall with a time of 18:23.004.

From start to finish, it was an outstanding showing for Big Red at the World's Largest Regatta.
