Exeter boys lacrosse is set for an exciting championship weekend after earning the No. 2 seed in the New England Scholastic Lacrosse League tournament.
The semifinal round will be played Friday, May 15, at Dexter Southfield School. Exeter will take on third-seeded Dexter at 4:00 p.m., followed by top-seeded Cushing Academy against fourth-seeded Pingree School at 6:00 p.m. The winners will advance to Saturday's championship game, which will be hosted by the highest remaining seed.
Big Red finished league play with a 4-2 record, securing the second seed by winning tiebreakers over Dexter and Pingree, who also finished at 4-2. Exeter's conference resume includes a 15-10 road victory over Dexter on April 18
th and a 14-12 win over Cushing on April 4
th. Additional league victories over Portsmouth Abbey School (9-8) and Austin Preparatory School (15-3) helped position Exeter near the top of the standings.
