Boys lacrosse scores season-opening win over Austin Prep

Exeter boys lacrosse opened its season in commanding fashion on Phelps Stadium, rolling to a 15-3 victory over Austin Prep on Friday evening. Backed by a balanced attack and a strong defensive effort, Big Red set the tone early and never looked back in a decisive season-opening win.

Finlay Fitch earned Player of the Game honors, leading the offensive charge with a pair of goals while helping to pace a unit that found its rhythm quickly. Exeter's ability to control possession proved to be a major factor throughout the contest, thanks in large part to Henry Baldic's outstanding work at the faceoff X.

Wade Douville anchored a cohesive defensive unit, causing multiple turnovers and disrupting Austin Prep's ability to generate sustained offense.

Exeter will look to carry that momentum on the road tomorrow when they travel to Governor's Academy for a 1:00pm start.
