Offensive barrage lifts boys water polo past Suffield

Exeter opened its season in commanding fashion, rolling to a 22–2 victory over Suffield on Saturday in the Roger A. Nekton Championship Pool. Big Red stormed out to a dominant 8–0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, adding seven more in the second to take a 15–0 advantage into halftime.

Exeter's attack was well-balanced, with seven different players finding the back of the net. Alex Kim led all scorers with five goals, while Jack Cassidy and Andrew Gao each netted four. Allen Klingel also tallied four goals, with Henry Wise adding three, and Jim Xue and Leon Yean chipping in one apiece.

Goalkeepers William Liu and Michael Somma combined for nine saves in the win.

With the win, Exeter starts its campaign 1–0 and will look to build on the strong start when they travel to Andover to battle the Blue on Wednesday at 3:15pm.
