Bradey joins Big Red as Director of Squash

The Exeter Athletics Department is proud to announce the appointment of Sharon Bradey as Director of Squash.

"Sharon's experience as both an elite player and a highly respected coach will be invaluable to our program," said Jason Baseden, Director of Physical Education and Athletics. "Sharon cares deeply about the student experience and is a terrific mentor for high school students. We are thrilled to welcome her leadership and vision as Exeter squash enters this exciting new chapter."

Bradey brings an exceptional background as both a world-class player and accomplished coach. A professional competitor for more than a decade, she achieved a career-high world ranking of No. 12 before moving into coaching. Over the past 30 years, she has guided athletes at the international level in her native Australia, Israel, and the United States. In 2023, the United States Olympic Committee recognized her contributions to the sport by naming her National Coach of the Year.

Bradey is already well known within the Exeter community, having worked closely with Big Red squash in recent seasons. She has also been a central figure in New England squash for more than two decades, serving as Head Squash Professional at the Harvard Club of Boston for 25 years. In that role, she oversaw all aspects of the program, from junior development to adult play, private instruction, and tournament operations.

"I am thrilled to join the exceptional athletics community at Phillips Exeter Academy," said Bradey. "I look forward to building on the Academy's storied squash tradition and helping each student-athlete reach their full potential on and off the court."
