Girls varsity lacrosse captured a thrilling 13-12 overtime victory on the road against a tough Governor's Academy team on Wednesday afternoon. The win lifts Big Red to a perfect 3-0 on the season.

Emma Van Oss potted the game-winner in the overtime period for the visitors on a day where the offense featured a full team effort. Hannah Hoyt and Grace Benson were excellent on the draw throughout the game while Emma Shu and Kate Kiernan anchored a strong defensive effort.

Big Red will be back in action on Thursday when they travel to St. Paul's for a 5:15pm start.

On the JV side, Amelia Sihweil scored a pair of goals while Addie Gray added one for Big Red who suffered a 9-3 setback. Naomi Wood and Alyssa Villanueva De Raeve provided a strong effort on the defensive end.
