Girls Basketball earns victory over Governor's

The Exeter girls basketball team captured a 57-42 victory over Governor's Academy inside Love Gym on Wednesday afternoon.

Leading 8-6 midway through the first quarter, Big Red used a 10-2 run over the final three minutes of the frame to extend their advantage to 18-8. Exeter carried that momentum into the second quarter and extended their lead to 34-19 at the break and remained in control throughout the second half.

Daniella Kalil led the way for the hosts, pouring in a team-high 18 points, including 13 in the opening 16-minutes. Ava Bryan added 16 points while Cassie Beste finished with eight. Haylie Regan dropped seven and Eveland Sherman finished with seven.  

Exeter will look to make it three wins in their last four games when they welcome Pingree School to campus for a 3:00pm tip.

On the JV side, Exeter traveled down to Andover and bested the Blue by a score of 36-35. Ellina Kim powered the Big Red offense with a team-high 16 points while Elizabeth Flynn and Ava Krutrschnitt dominated the glass, pulling down numerous rebounds on both the offensive and defensive end.
