Exeter/Andover Weekend delivered all the energy, pride, and passion that make this storied rivalry so special. Big Red fans packed the sidelines and stands to cheer on their teams as Exeter turned in thrilling performances across campus.
Exeter earned a 3–1 victory in volleyball, with the team's steady play and home-court energy fueling the win. The excitement carried over to the gridiron, where Big Red rolled past Andover 48–16 in the 144
th  football game of the rivalry. On the pitch, boys soccer battled to a 1–1 draw, while Andover claimed wins in girls soccer, 4-0, and field hockey, 7–0.
Outside of the rivalry, it was another banner day for Exeter cross country.
The boys team captured their sixth straight Division I New England Championship, while the girls team finished second overall. In the pool, boys water polo hosted the 2025 New England Championships and placed third overall, capping an unforgettable day for Big Red athletics.
A raucous home-court energy inside Love Gym helped fuel a 3-1 victory for girls volleyball. Big Red opened with a 25–18 win in the first set before Andover evened the match, 18–25. Exeter bounced back with a gritty 25–20 win in the third and sealed the deal with a commanding 25–16 victory in the fourth. Claire McCann led the charge for Big Red, while
Quinn Dabney,
Liv Lang, and
Melody Ma all shined on the court for the hosts.
Over at Phelps Stadium,
Jake Attaway led the way for Big Red, accounting for four total touchdowns in Exeter's 48–16 win over Andover. The quarterback rushed for two scores in the first half and added two more through the air, including a 16-yard strike to
Caden Drobinski and a 76-yard screen pass to
Luke Rogers.
Tyrone Neal added a 15-yard rushing touchdown, while
Fogo Filani powered into the end zone for another score. On the defensive side, Van Hellman made a highlight play, blocking a punt and returning it for a touchdown as Exeter secured its fifth straight victory over Andover.
On the pitch, boys soccer battled Andover to a 1–1 draw in a spirited contest. Andover struck first midway through the opening half, slipping a shot through a crowded box to take a 1–0 lead into halftime. Exeter responded with 27 minutes left in regulation when
Max Sahinoglu pounced on a rebound following a pair of corner kicks and sent a right-footed strike past the Andover keeper to even the match. Both teams created chances in the closing minutes, but neither could break through again as the rivals settled for the draw.
In the pool, boys water polo claimed third overall in the New England Championships. Big Red claimed a dramatic first round win over Hamden Hall, 15-13. Mateo Sandhu and Andrew Gao each found the back of the net five times to lead Big Red to the semifinal round. In the semifinals, Big Red could not outlast a tough Choate squad as the Wild Boars defeated the hosts 12-8. Exeter would play their third match of the day against Greenwich Country Day School where they grinded out an 11-10 victory to claim third place in New England. Once again it was Sandhu and Gao who led the charge as the duo combined for nine goals.
