Exeter field hockey turned in a strong and balanced performance on Saturday, earning a 4–0 shutout victory over Brewster Academy behind a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive play.
Luvy Danielson led the way for Big Red with two goals, while
Eliot McCarthy and
Lainey Reese each added a score to round out the offense. Exeter's pressure and poise in the attacking circle kept Brewster on its heels throughout the match.
In goal,
Eva Mai Whyte anchored the defense with a clean sheet in the first half before handing things over to
Josie Hilbert, who preserved the shutout in the second. Seniors
Camryn Reimert, Lydia Reimer, Whyte, and
Alva Carlston, were all key contributors on the day, limiting Brewster's scoring chances and helping transition play up the field.
Big Red, winners of two straight, will travel to Governor's Academy on Wednesday for a 2:30pm matchup.
