ATH-2026-VFH-vs. La Salle

Five players score as field hockey blanks La Salle

Exeter field hockey turned in a complete team effort under the lights on Hatch Field, rolling to a 5-0 victory over La Salle.

Big Red wasted little time taking control, scoring all five of its goals in the opening half with five different players finding the back of the cage. Margot Wegbrans, Amani Shetty, Ava Pimental, Elizabeth Hutchins, and Catherine Miller each scored as Exeter used a balanced attack to build a commanding advantage.

The Exeter defense was equally impressive, keeping La Salle off the board throughout the night. Upper goalkeeper Arisa Yoshino anchored the effort in goal to earn the shutout.

Big Red was scheduled to travel to Buckingham Browne & Nichols on Saturday, but the matchup has been postponed due to impending weather. Exeter will return to action next Saturday, October 3, when it hosts Deerfield Academy at 2:30 p.m.
