Late goal leads girls soccer past St. Paul's

After 64 minutes of scoreless play, Big Red finally broke through when Morgan Signore's free kick from 20 yards out struck the crossbar. Elena Calvo was first to the rebound, heading it home for the game-winning goal in Exeter's 1-0 victory over St. Paul's on Saturday afternoon.

Exeter controlled possession for much of the match, with a disciplined defensive effort keeping the St. Paul's attack in check. Calvo, Signore, and Ella Shea continued to generate chances and apply pressure on the opposing keeper throughout the afternoon. Goalkeeper Paige Sweet anchored the back line and recorded the clean sheet in the win.

Big Red will travel to Middlesex School on Wednesday for a 3:15 p.m. kickoff.
