Volleyball advances to Class A finals with win over Loomis

Exeter girls volleyball punched their ticket to the NEPSAC Class A title match following a 3-0 victory over Loomis on Saturday afternoon. Big Red, the second seed in the tournament, will battle top-seeded King School on Sunday on the campus of Taft School at 2:30pm in the championship match.

Big Red used set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-21 to dismount third-seeded Loomis inside Love Gym in the semifinal matchup. Ellie Ocampo led the charge for the hosts as she finished with 19 kills, 13 digs, and one block while Clare McCann added 14 kills and seven digs. Aoibhe McNamara added ten digs on the defensive end while leading Big Red on several scoring runs with her serve.

Liv Lang dished out 22 assists while Melody Ma doled out 15 of her own as the setting pair kept the Big Red offense on track throughout the match.

This marks Exeter's eleventh straight trip to the Class A semifinals and their sixth trip to the finals in the past eleven seasons. Big Red will look to capture their fourth title in that span on Sunday.
