Cycling opens 2026 campaign in impressive fashion

Exeter cycling opened its season in impressive fashion at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway Oval Track, delivering a series of standout performances across both the girls and boys races.

The girls squad set the tone, led by a dominant ride from Luvy Danielson in the Girls A division. Danielson powered through the eight-lap course to claim first place with a winning time of 21:07.3. Teammate Lydia Reimer made it a one-two finish for Big Red, crossing the line in second at 22:35.0 to cap a strong showing at the top of the field.

Exeter continued to shine in the Girls C race, where Urania Shi captured first place with a time of 23:10.6. Marley McMahon followed with a third-place finish in 23:48.6, while Serena Yue added depth to the lineup with a fourth-place effort in 24:17.9, giving Big Red three top-four finishers in the division.

On the boys side, Exeter was equally competitive against a strong field. Jesse Ball led the way in the Boys A division, placing fourth with a time of 20:08.1. Sebastian Sobeih (6th – 20:49.6) and Artur Novaes Ferreira (7th – 20:53.6) rounded out a tight pack of Big Red riders in the A race.

In the Boys B division, Roy Bulsook and Mitchell Carson turned in solid performances, finishing fourth and sixth with times of 22:19.1 and 22:32.7, respectively. Gavin Zhao highlighted the Boys C race with a podium finish, taking third place in 23:07.1.

Exeter will return to the New Hampshire Motor Speedway next Wednesday when they tackle the road course at 3:30pm.
