Fast start lifts girls basketball past Deerfield

Exeter girls basketball notched a 57-36 victory on the road at Deerfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Big Red offense was hot from the start as they built a 21-7 first quarter lead and never trailed. Ava Bryan, Daniella Kalil, and Cassie Beste aided the fast start as they combined for 18 points in the opening quarter.

Kalil led all scorers with a game-high 17 points while Bryan finished with 14 points. Haylie Regan knocked down a trio of three's and finished with nine points while Beste added five.

The girls JV squad, winners of four in a row, also scored a victory on the day, defeating Deerfield by a score of 29-19. 

The Big Red varsity will return to Love Gym for a tilt with Brewster Academy at 3:00pm on Wednesday. The JV squad will play host to Tilton at 3:00pm on Wednesday.
