Will Armishaw joined the Exeter community in the summer of 2025 as an assistant coach for the boys’ varsity basketball program.
Prior to Exeter, he spent two seasons (2023-2025) with the University of Massachusetts Boston’s men’s basketball program as an assistant coach. In his 2nd year at UMass Boston, he helped lead the program to a 7-win improvement and their first home playoff game since the 2017-2018 season. During his time in Boston, he helped develop an NABC Region 2 Rookie of the Year, a Little East Conference Rookie of the Year, and two Little East Conference All-League selections.
Armishaw joined the UMass Boston staff after holding a similar position at the University of Southern Maine (2021-2023). At Southern Maine, he helped guide the 2022-2023 team to the program’s most single season wins since the 1990-1991 season. In his two years there, he aided in the development of two Little East Conference All-League selections, one Little East Conference All-Defense selection, two Little East Conference All-Academic honorees, and one NABC Honors Court member.
Before Southern Maine, he spent seven seasons as an assistant coach at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine (2014-2021). While at St. Joe’s, he helped lead the program to four 18+ win seasons, and national statistical recognition during the 2018-2019 season, when the team finished 6th in Division III in per game scoring average, 1st in the country in three-point field goal percentage, and 2nd nationally in assists per game.
Overall, he developed 11 Great Northeast Athletic Conference All-League selections, one Great Northeast Athletic Conference Player of the Year, and one NABC All-Region selection. Academically, he aided in the growth of 13 NABC Honors Court members, two CoSIDA Academic All-District honorees, and one CoSIDA Academic All-American.
Armishaw is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maine.
