Bill Glennon

Hall of Fame coach Bill Glennon has guided Exeter athletes for over thirty years. Coach Glennon led the football program for 24 years during which he brought the program to multiple Class A NEPSAC championships. Also serving as Exeter’s head lacrosse coach for a decade, he has received many coaching awards and has mentored hundreds of athletes in both sports, many of whom have had highly successful collegiate careers. Prior to joining the Exeter community, Glennon was a college football coach at the University of Albany and Hampden-Sydney College. He was also the head lacrosse coach at Rochester Institute of Technology. Coach Glennon has held many roles as an educator including department chair, athletic director, dormitory head, college counselor, and admissions officer. A former two-sport athlete at Springfield College in football and lacrosse, Glennon earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education and health before completing a master’s degree in educational administration. He is the proud father of three Exeter graduates: Ryan ‘00, Lindsey ‘02, and Travis ‘05.
