A pillar of the Exeter community, David Hudson has coached and mentored hundreds of student-athletes during his career at Exeter that has spanned more than three decades. A longtime coach of the JV boys lacrosse program, Hudson is also as an assistant coach with the football program and instructor in the Physical Education Department and has held various other roles during his time on campus, including head wrestling coach, athletic director, and chairman of the physical education department.
One of the most experienced offensive line coaches in New England, Dave Hudson has coached high school and college football for over thirty years. He has mentored hundreds of offensive linemen, many of whom have received high accolades at both the prep and college levels. Notably, Coach Hudson was instrumental in orchestrating the offensive line units on Exeter’s New England championship teams in recent years. He has received numerous honors including New England Coach of the Year. As a player, Coach Hudson was a standout lineman and wrestler at St. Lawrence University where he captained both programs to top national rankings and earned First Team All-American honors in both sports. Coach Hudson earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from St. Lawrence and is the proud father of Hailey ‘16, Hanna, and Jack ‘22.
