A New Hampshire native, Griffin was a two-time All-Big East tight end at the University of Connecticut and a John Mackey Award finalist as one of college football’s top tight ends. While at UConn, Griffin was named the program’s 2012 offensive player of the year. After his storied career at UConn, Griffin was selected by the Houston Texans in the 2013 NFL Draft. Coach Griffin spent ten years playing in the NFL for the Houston Texans, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears. In so doing, he was a top performing tight end and special teams mainstay throughout his decade-long career. Griffin recently retired from professional football, finishing his time in the NFL with over 2,000 yards receiving and 14 career touchdowns.
