Max Lane

Max Lane, a veteran of the New England Patriots, joined the Exeter football staff in 2022. Coach Lane has experienced success at every level of football. Before being selected in the 1994 NFL Draft, Coach Lane was an all-state high school player in Missouri and a standout offensive lineman for the Naval Academy where he became one of the top linemen in program history. A starter on the offensive line for the New England Patriots’ 1996 Super Bowl team, Coach Lane was also named to the franchise’s 1990s All-Decade Team. Lane is an active member of the New England Patriots Alumni Club and the NFL Retired Players Association. Coach Lane has worked with some of the greatest offensive line coaches in the history of the game including longtime Patriots coach Dante Scarnecchia. Additionally, Lane played for NFL coaching legends Bill Parcells, Pete Carroll, and Bill Belichick. In the offseason, he runs the Max Lane Lineman Academy and has spoken broadly about offensive line play. Coach Lane is the proud father of daughter Alexis and son Hunter who plays tight end at Holy Cross.
