Hilary Hall

“Focus on improvement. Bring honor to the team through what you do on and off the track. Support and encourage your teammates as they strive to do the same. Compete fiercely. Win humbly and lose with grace (that doesn’t mean you have to like it!). Remember that you are representing a highly respected team that was built by alums who came before you and your job is to hand it off in similar, if not better, repair.”

If you are on a team coached by Hilary (Ahri) Coder Hall the above paragraph and its’ imbedded values is what your personal, and the team’s collective, success is built upon.

Coach Hall arrived to Exeter in 1983, fresh off her own experience as a national caliber high jumper and heptathlete at Penn State where she earned her degree in Health and Physical Education. She has continued to be dedicated to her Coaching Education through to the present day and is currently one of the most highly certified high school coaches in the country. Coach Hall has attended the following national and international certifications:
  • 4x USATF Level 2                           Jumps, Sprints-Hurdles, Throws, and Distance
  • 2x USATF Level 3                          Jumps, and Sprints-Hurdles
  • 2x USATF-IAAF Level 5                Jumps-Sprints-Hurdles, and Youth Olympic Progression
  • 3x USTFCCCA                                Speed and Relay Specialist, Hurdle Specialist, and Multi-Sport Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Under Hall’s tenure, the Exeter Track and Field program has guided a few athletes to National Titles, dozens to All-American status, hundreds to Individual New England titles, and many to very successful collegiate careers. Hall is equally proud of the athlete who first finds track at Exeter, the two-sport athlete who joins track to improve their speed and power, the group of athletes who vie each year for a NEPSTA Championship, or the elite athlete who stands on the podium at Nationals.
