ATH-Coaches-Mike Hicks

Mike Hicks

Mike Hicks was promoted as the head coach of the Exeter baseball program in July 2026 after spending two seasons as an assistant coach with Big Red. Since joining the coaching staff, he has played an integral role in the program's development, bringing extensive experience in player development, performance training, and leadership while building meaningful relationships with student-athletes.

Outside of Exeter, Hicks is the founder of R3VAMP Performance Center, where he specializes in student-athlete development, performance enhancement, and sport psychology. Combining extensive coaching experience, advanced education, and firsthand competitive success, he has spent more than a decade helping athletes maximize both their physical and mental performance.

Hicks has also held leadership and player development roles with the New England Stampede and Mass Athletics AAU Baseball programs, working with athletes ranging from youth players to collegiate prospects. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped develop numerous collegiate players while mentoring athletes who have advanced to professional baseball, including Major League Baseball.

A standout player in his own right, Hicks competed collegiately at Saint Anselm College (NCAA Division II) and Endicott College (NCAA Division III) before continuing his career in many of New England's premier amateur baseball leagues, including the MABL, CABL, Yawkey Baseball League, Boston Park League, and Intercity League. His playing accomplishments include being named Sunset League MVP (2009), MABL MVP (2014), CABL Rookie of the Year (2018), and CNEBL Team MVP (2024), in addition to earning multiple All-Star selections and First Team honors.

Hicks earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Endicott College in 2012, where he also completed his coaching certification, before receiving a Master of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Western States in 2022.

His professional credentials include certifications as an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer and ISSA Certified Nutritionist, Level 2 Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) Practitioner, and CPR/AED certification through the American Red Cross. His holistic coaching philosophy integrates physical preparation, nutrition, mental performance, leadership development, and team culture to help student-athletes reach their full potential.

Hicks believes in developing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while fostering a culture built on integrity, accountability, discipline, and genuine care for one another. His program emphasizes growth both on and off the field, with success measured not only by competitive achievement but also by the character, leadership, and relationships student-athletes develop throughout their Exeter experience.
