Girls tennis earns season-opening victory at St. Paul's

Exeter girls varsity A tennis notched an 8-1 victory in their season-opening match at St. Paul's on Saturday afternoon. Big Red earned victories in five singles matches and swept all three doubles matches on their way to victory.

Naomi Moskovich earned a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the second singles slot while Kalina Marinov picked up a 6-2, 6-1 decision in the third singles match. Aarti Raju earned a win at number four singles, 6-4, 6-3 and Cassia Lee won in two straight sets, 6-3, 6-3. Blakeslee Krusen wrapped up singles play with a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the fifth singles match.

Moskovich and Nadia Sondrini teamed up to earn an 8-2 decision in the top doubles pairing. The second pairing of Marinov and Raju and the third pairing of Lee and Krusen each won be a decisive 8-3 score to earn the doubles sweep for Big Red.

Big Red will hit the road next Saturday when they travel to Northfield Mount Hermon for a 1:30pm start.
