William G. Saltonstall Boathouse
Overlooking the Squamscott River, the nearly 10,000 square foot boathouse is home to both the girls and boys crew programs. The history of the Exeter rowing programs is abundant within the Boathouse walls, showcasing everything from team photographs to championship banners to priceless boats and oars. Admirers and teammates alike are in awe of the memorabilia that is proudly displayed throughout the building. Not only does the space keep the rich history of the program alive, it is a motivator to current rowers to contribute to the legacy. With state-of-the-art equipment used for on and off water workouts, the boathouse holds space for team meetings, reviewing film, locker room facilities, space to store boats, and a workshop area. Named after the ninth principal at the Academy, the William G. Saltonstall Boathouse opened in 1990 just behind the original boathouse to accommodate the growing program.
